   About Us

In 1965, a young man named Winston Ludwig Mabuki chanced on employment as a foreman with the road construction company working on the new East African Highway. The road went through an area, which had a scarcely populated village where all the road construction workers would camp. Mabuki realised that this was a natural stopping place for anyone headed to Nairobi and away. Mabuki, acting on his hunch, purchased a piece of land from Senior Chief Baraka and established Mabuki Bar and Lodging there.

Soon other establishments grew around it to cater for the growing community around Mabuki's. Soon enough settlers were coming into the town. This is the town we now know today.full of vibrant characters all making a life for themselves. There is a diverse ethnic mix of people who call this place home. It is a town where people encounter the troubles, tragedies and triumphs of life. Where people fall in love, fall out and if illicit brew is involved, fall down. A place where people come together and others pull apart.

Karibu Makutano Junction.
